Our Other Projects

A DIY Day is run by Ismail Farooq, a sole proprietor in Lahore, Pakistan. I also make these sites, and like this one, each is built around one everyday problem.

SongUp AIsongupai.comWrites and sings a complete song from a short description or your own lyrics, in 24 languages, for a birthday, wedding, anniversary or just for fun. You can try it for free. ImgVX AIimgvx.comImage tools that run in your browser: resize, crop, compress and convert photos, or remove backgrounds and upscale them with AI that runs on your own device, so the photos are never uploaded. The Net Fixthenetfix.comFinds out why games lag and video calls freeze when a speed test looks fine. It checks speed under load, Wi-Fi, DNS and game routes, then tells you whether the problem is in your home, your line or your provider. MxMobmxmob.comTests a phone or laptop in the browser with nothing to install: screen, touch, speakers, cameras, sensors and battery, finishing with a health score and a PDF report. Worth running before you buy a used phone. ThermostatWiresthermostatwires.comHelps you swap a thermostat yourself: which wire goes on which terminal, and whether a Nest, ecobee, Honeywell or Amazon smart thermostat will work with your wiring, even without a C wire.

Questions about any of them? Email [email protected] or read more about A DIY Day.
